How to schedule your free local pickup
1. Tell us about your vehicle and Norfolk location

2. Choose a convenient pickup day and time window
Once we have your info, we connect with a local towing partner to schedule a free pickup. You’ll pick a day and general time window that works for you, including early or later options to avoid Norfolk traffic. Dense neighborhoods near Downtown or Olde Huntersville may require more flexible timing due to parking and access considerations.
3. Prepare the car and documents before the tow arrives
Before your tow truck arrives, remove personal items and make sure we can access the vehicle. After the vehicle is sold, Wheel Give Back will mail you a tax receipt. Most donors can deduct at least $500; for donations valued over $500, you’ll also receive the IRS Form 1098-C details you’ll need. Keep this with your records and consult your tax professional about how to use the deduction for your Virginia and federal returns.
Local pickup gotchas
Tight Norfolk streets and flatbed access issues
Tip: Some neighborhoods like Ghent, Freemason, and parts of Downtown have narrow, one-way streets with limited turning space. Let us know if your car is on a tight block or alley. We may ask you to move it to a nearby corner, loading zone, or wider cross street at a specific time so the flatbed can safely reach and load your vehicle.
